In 1995, Mercedes-Benz introduced the successor to the W124, a new class of vehicle: The E-Class. In the last two years of production of the W124 model, its names have been changed accordingly. The E stands for Executive, that is for the vehicles of the upper middle class. The E-Class is available as a four-door sedan or station wagon. With the double headlights swept the brand, the four-eyed face of the original E-Class reinterpreted in 1995.
